Let’s Fear Not

An autobiography by Asia Kasuwi Kapande, a courageous Tanzanian woman who believed she could achieve her goals and saw opportunities where others only saw challenges. She knew how to make good use of those opportunities, not only for her own benefit but by giving others knowledge, skills, and financial resources to the best of her ability. Mrs Kapande explains her school life, family, employment, her participation in establishing the Tanzania Home Economics Organization, and in politics; managerial positions in various agricultural colleges in the country, and economic and social activities after retirement. She was fortunate to pursue higher education inside the country and abroad. Despite that, it was not a norm for a girl to be employed in the agricultural sector due to restrictions placed on young women, but she did not hesitate. She strived for knowledge, which is given great weight in the book. She describes how she managed her work by solving challenges in agriculture and animal husbandry, her contribution in promoting education, politics, and helping disabled children.
