From Powerlessness to Powerfulness

From Powerlessness to Powerfulness emphasises the conviction that human beings have power to shape the kind of persons they become. Real power in living our lives
comes as a result of the Higher Power assuming the central position of our lives. This book proposes ways to dispose ourselves in order to allow the Higher Power to become the centre of our lives. From Powerlessness to Powerfulness is for those who wake up every morning with a lot of pain coming from their hopelessness; feeling that life is not worth living; the main message to them is that there is the Higher Power, ready to transform their lives into what they were meant to be. There are no “storms” in life that the Higher Power cannot handle.

Dr. Bonaventura Mutayoba Balige, Psy.D, obtained his Masters degree in Counselling from Loyola University, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. (1999), and a Doctoral
degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.), from Adler University, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. (2004). His prior studies include BA (Philosophy) from St Canicius College,
Kinshasa, Zaire (DRC) (1990-1993), BA (Theology) from the Jesuit School of Theology, Hekima College, Nairobi, Kenya (1993-1997). Dr. Balige had been a Jesuit for 24
years (1989-20013), and a Catholic priest since 1999. He officially left the Jesuits and priesthood in 2013. He is currently involved in counselling, teaching psychology, and consultations, living in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has a private practice known as NEHOTA Wholeness Programs in Dar es Salaam, where he offers counselling services, and conducting psychosocial trainings.
