When Professor Huxley, a world-renowned scientist, is saved from drowning by a young doctor, and then (in a separate incident) rescued from kidnappers by the daring action of a young nurse, neither rescuer realises what the other has done. The two turn out to be spouses in a broken marriage, each unaware of the other’s role in saving the same man’s life.
