Let’s Fear Not

‘Let’s Fear Not’ is an autobiography of a courageous woman who believed that she could achieve her goals, and who saw opportunities when others only saw challenges. She knew how to make good use of those opportunities, not only for her own benefit, but by giving others knowledge, skills and financial resources to the best of her ability.

In this autobiography, Mrs. Asia Kasuwi Kapande clearly explains her school life, family, employment, her participation in establishing the Tanzania Home Economics Organization and in politics; managerial positions in various agricultural colleges in the country, and economic and social activities after retirement.

She was fortunate to pursue higher education inside the country and abroad. Despite that, it was not a norm for a girl to be employed in the agricultural sector due to restrictions that the society placed on young women, but she didn’t hesitate. She strived to get knowledge, which has been given a big weight in this book. She describes how she managed her work by solving various challenges in agriculture and animal husbandry; her contribution in promoting education, politics and helping disabled children.
