Fostering Entrepreneurial Agriculture in Tanzania

An edited volume investigating the role of innovative farming and entrepreneurial agriculture in Tanzania’s agrarian economy. While recent global economic shifts have transformed agricultural industries elsewhere, Tanzania’s economy remains in transition, and the impact of innovative agriculture and the opportunities it creates have rarely been empirically tested. Editors Imani Silver Kyaruzi and Honest Prosper Ngowi have assembled contributions exploring entrepreneurial agriculture and local economic growth, marketing systems and cess collection, farmer awareness of rural development approaches, the economic impact of HIV and AIDS on the agricultural sector, the potential of agribusiness incubators, paradigm shifts in the Tanzanian economy, agricultural industrialisation and income distribution, and strategies for fostering entrepreneurial agriculture.
